RNA - For the first time, the Episcopal Church’s National Cathedral in Washington hosted American Muslims' Friday prayer.
The midday Friday prayer service on November 14 is cosponsored by five Muslim groups.
“Leaders believe offering Muslim prayers at the Christian cathedral shows more than hospitality,” the cathedral said in a statement. “It demonstrates an appreciation of one another’s prayer traditions and is a powerful symbolic gesture toward a deeper relationship between the two Abrahamic traditions.”
