RNA - In a statement, the groups condemned the violent attacks that took place in Ottawa and St-jean-sur-Richelieu, Que., and asked for actions to be taken by the government.
"We ask the Canadian security authorities to actively pursue the perpetrators, in case there are others, and especially the criminals behind them, who target peace and harmony amongst Canadians," the groups wrote.
The coalition also warned Canadians "not to fall in the trap of these criminals" and "stay united and vigilant" in these hard times.
"We must stand together for the defence of our democracy," reads the statement.
The joint statement join a barrage of similar statements issued by Canada's Muslim community — groups and individuals — since the two terror killings this week.
On Wednesday, a Facebook post written by a Muslim teenager from Montreal went viral.
"My name is Ali Chebli," he wrote. "I am 17, I am a Quebecer of Lebanese origin, I am Muslim and I am against the Islamic State. My mission is to fight against the hateful speech and actions of the jihadists."
Within 24 hours the post had been shared 4,000 times and seen over 530,000 times.
