Rasa News Agency reports – Due to the neglect of the Iranian cultural authorities and other relevant institutions, an Iranian shoe manufacturer has produced a model of women’s shoes with the Star of David emblazoned it. The Star of David itself is a Jewish religious symbol, but it seen by many as a symbol of the racist Zionist ideology due to its appearance on the flag of the illegitimate Israeli regime.

The low-priced shoes were found widely available for sale in many cities across Iran, including the capital Tehran and the holy city of Qom. Unfortunately, this shoe model has been found in many chain stores in the province of Qom, the heart of the Islamic Revolution.

Muslims clearly distinguish between the respectable religion of Judaism, and the political ideology of Zionism, but many Iranians were disgusted that a company would put the Star of David on a line of shoes due to the recent the brutal attacks by the Zionist regime of Israel on the defenceless Palestinian people of the Gaza Strip. The sight of these shoes on the Iranian market has offended many Iranians’ sympathies.

Many people have questioned how the authorities in charge of culture affairs in the province of Qom who claim to have complete control over production and consumption, as well as the market, could allow such a widespread distribution of a production which is emblazoned with the symbol of Zionism.

The availability of such a product in the Islamic Republic of Iran is seen as a cultural invasion and an attack against Muslim sympathies by the enemy. With the timely notification and decisive enforcement officials and retailers and appropriate and judicious action against the violators, the sale of these shoes could have been prevented.
