RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyed Jawad Naqawi, the principal of Jami’at Urwat al-Wuthqa Islamic Seminary in the Pakistani city of Lahore said, “The Gregorian calendar year has reached its end and three days are left and after that 2019 will begin. When a new year starts and one year ends then it presents some new issues and arguments. At this time when the year is ending it is a time to ponder over what has happened in the year. The year 2018 has had many events, accidents and changes and specifically in the Islamic world and in Pakistan.”
The Pakistani scholar said, “In 2018, a new government was formed in Pakistan and whatever was happening in past a new wave came up which is ongoing. There has been a lot of damage this year. The devilishness of the global powers has increased, issues of humanity have increased, for example there has been warning bells about a water crisis. Also, in Pakistan this issue was not raised seriously but rather, it was used politically.”
He stated, “In 2018, certain bitter incidents have taken place and worthy lives have been lost. Certain lands have been the ground of greater severities.”
Hujjat al-Islam Naqawi said, “The first country is Yemen. In the last few months, many Yemeni people have been killed brutally by regional and global powers. They destroyed and looted the country, stopped all rout means reaching them and this aggression is continuing.”
The graduate of the Islamic Seminary of Qom stated, “The second country is Palestine, where oppression increased and a new movement also started, that is the Return movement which takes place every Friday. Every Friday, the youths, woman, children come on the borders and they raise slogans that we have to return to our usurped land.”
He noted, “The third country in which extreme oppression has occurred in is Kashmir and every day youths are killed. The valley of Kashmir is suffering a high degree of sorrow. Currently, the severity is very high. Previously, there was support for Kashmir but now they have been completely left on their own. Their youths have been killed, imprisoned, the government has been ended, their leaders are put in prisons and Kashmir is under President’s rule. In the regard, 2018 has been a tough year for Kashmir and it is ongoing.”
In regard to Syria, Hujjat al-Islam Naqawi explained, “For Syria, the direction of war changed in 2018 and became one-sided and the terrorist groups have completely capitulated though complete cleansing has not yet occurred. In the past, the battle was not-one-sided – the majority of the world were the supporters of the terrorist phenomenon and very few were on the side of Syria. Although, the battle at the diplomatic level has not ended, but on the ground this has become one-sided. Turkey, the United States and some other countries have preserved some locations of terrorists in Kurdish-majority areas and in some other regions.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] in Pakistan added, “After this phase of war, negotiations will start and there it will be decided what will happen in Syria. I will mention this separately that the situation in Syria is very complex. There have been two world wars, which were very lowly and abased wars fought in Europe but in our region we have been taught about them as the ‘Great Wars.’ Those who achieved victories in Europe dispersed themselves. Those who were defeated in the First World War – Germany and Japan – were brutally treated.”
He noted, “The same situation is now occurring in Syria and as I said before, from the very beginning Russia has been playing dirty with politics in Syria. Dirty politics is not an abuse it is a terminology in political science in which you can do anything you want to achieve your own interests. Three countries are famous in regard to their involvement in dirty politics, although the United States is also involved in similar issues. These countries are Russia, China and India. They take full advantage of the crises in other countries. For example, India has been taking free oil from Iran for decades. When Iranians ask for money, the Indians say there are restrictions in the global banking system so we cannot transfer the payment.”
Hujjat al-Islam Naqawi said, “In this manner, they have troubled Iran. China does the same thing and traps other countries and takes advantage of them. They earn money from everything. If there is war they will earn money, if there is a truce then they will also earn money. If the market is bad or good they just earn money. In Syria, Russia is engaging in the same dirty politics. When the war became one-sided, Russia has changed its style of politics and tactics. Now Russia is trying to remove Iran involvement in Syria and also wants to expel Hezbollah. They want Iran to completely leave Syria because after the war, they don’t want Russia to obtain all the benefits of the reconstruction work that will begin in Syria.”
