RNA – Speaking on the fifth night of Muharram al-Haram in the Beirut neighbourhood of al-Shiyah, Hujjat al-Islam Na’im Qasim, the deputy secretary-general of Lebanon’s Hezbollah Islamic Resistance movement, announced that today, the United States and the Zionist regime are at the head of a “pyramid of oppression” because they working towards the harassment and persecution of humankind.
The Lebanese Shi’ah scholar said, “The United States is imposing pressure on the countries of the world and in order to impose its form of thinking, it’s striving to steal from the economies of various countries and besiege them. Israel also occupies Palestine and has its eye on the occupation of the world and it wants to stabilize itself in order to become a great state and seeks to execute its plans through oppression and force.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim continued, “Since the establishment of the Zionist regime, we are hearing that it’s thinking about war, why? Because Israel wants to occupy the land and separate part of Palestine, take parts of the Arab countries around it, eliminate its enemies so that in the end there will be no power other than Israel in the region and everything will be as it wants. The Zionist regime is ruthless and we must stand against oppression.”
The senior member of Hezbollah emphasized that the youth of the Islamic Resistance have learned from Imam al-Husayn how to stand up against the oppression and despite their low numbers, God has helped them and said, “If these believers were not warriors, Israel wouldn’t have retreated from Lebanon and if the believers didn’t exist, Israel wouldn’t fall on its knees and admit to having been defeated the 2006 Lebanon War.”
He said the Zionist regime is now worried about its future and is constantly thinking about confrontation with the Islamic Resistance. “This regime fears if it enters a war, it will be the loser,” he added.
Hujjat al-Islam Qasim stressed that the development of Islamic Resistance among the youth was the result of its education in regard to the message of Ashura and said that this same resistance forced the Zionist regime to make tactical changes.
