RNA – The first conference of a series of academic conferences entitled “Islamic Civilization: Resistance Strategies” centred on “Palestine: Pre-Emptive Defense” was held last night with the support of Rasa News Agency in the conference room of the news agency in Qom.
Hujjat al-Islam Mohsen Mohammadi and Professor Alireza Soltanshahi spoke at the conference, and Hujjat al-Islam Mohsen Momeni was the academic secretary of the conference.
The conference is intended to respond to the doubts regarding Iran’s presence in the region
At the beginning of the conference, Hujjat al-Islam Mohsen Momeni, the academic secretary of the conference, said that today we are witnessing the arrogant powers of the world with all their collaborators and allies in the region facing a deadlock and said, “The ideal of Palestine is achieving an Islamic civilization and this is considered to be a fundamental strategy.”
The academic secretary of the conference argued that sometimes the question is posed to why Iran is present in Palestine and said, “Considering that the ideal for Palestine imagined is the issue of the building of an Islamic civilization, it can be said that Iran’s approach to this is a presence in Palestine.”
He added that the series of conferences of “Islamic Civilization: Resistance Strategies” by Rasa News Agency has been established to answer the doubts raised about the presence of Iran in the region, in order to provide concrete answers from experts in the international arena to the doubts surrounding this issue.
Referring to the fact that the Pahlavi regime was a supporter of the Zionist regime, Hujjat al-Islam Momeni, stated, “Given that Baha’ism played a significant role in the Pahlavi court, the Pahlavi government assisted the Zionist regime from a financial and spiritual perspective but after the victory of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeyni immediately called the usurper regime a cancerous tumour and we entered a new phase of confronting this regime.”
He pointed to the new developments in the region regarding the transfer of the capital of the Zionist regime to Jerusalem al-Quds, saying, “If the people are on the scene and are actively involved in these developments, we will certainly face good events, but if they are neglected, we will naturally encounter many problems.”
Stating that the United States has recently shown that it doesn’t adhere to any international treaties, he said, “The transfer of the American embassy to Jerusalem al-Quds is a clear evidence of this.”
Referring to the Zionist regime’s claim to have annexed the Golan Heights to Israel, Hujjat al-Islam Momeni, added, “This region is a bridge between several countries and if this regime succeeds in annexing it, the fate of the countries of the region may be marked in other ways and without doubt, the result will be the death and martyrdom of the Palestinian people.”
He criticized the fact that no movement took an appropriate position against the usurping Zionist regime in regard to the recent Great March of Return, where 64 Palestinians were martyred and said, “The only person who took a position was the Supreme Leader of the Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] but other political and social parties didn’t take any position and this issue must be taken into consideration.”
The civilizational approach is the reason behind Iran’s support for Palestine
Also, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammadi further contended that supporting Palestine is imagined in two forms: “Palestine itself” and “Palestine against Israel” and said, “God first referred to the support of Palestine because when he established the series of prophets and proclaimed Abraham as prophet. He ordered him to settle in the Levant, in present-day Palestine, so that a series of prophets can be formed this land.”
The official from the Institute of Contemporary Historical Studies continued, “The discussion of the al-Aqsa Mosque, the Mi’raj (Night Journey) of the Prophet Muhammad and the fact that this land has been considered as the qiblah of Muslims throughout the ages and all these issues reflect the importance of this land.”
Referring to the fact that the civilizational approach has led Iran to support Palestine, he said, “Palestine is located in an area that connects Asia, Europe and Africa, and on the other hand, because it is known as an economic centre, it enjoys security. On this basis, any group that controls this area can undoubtedly broadcast and export its ideology through the world. For this reason, the region can play a major role in Islamic civilization-building.”
Our main reason for supporting Palestine and Jerusalem is the value and the religious significance of this land
Professor Soltanshahi further stated, “Our main reason for supporting Palestine and Jerusalem al-Quds is the value and importance that this land has and, in fact, we are defending and supporting this land for our beliefs. The importance and value that this land possesses is worth the effort of thousands of Islamic Republics which struggles and offers sacrifices.”
He emphasized, “Palestine and Jerusalem al-Quds are the gates of heaven and the places of the mission of the divine prophets. It is also the site of the ascension of the Prophet Muhammad and the first qiblah of the Muslims and we are actually in the presence of our beliefs in this land.”
Professor Soltanshahi said that the Holy Land of Palestine was occupied by the most evil among mankind and said, “According to the Holy Quran, these people are known as traitors, greedy, and the killers of the prophets and now it is our duty as the sole protectors of this holy land.”
