Rasa - The chairman of Iraq’s Supreme Council, Sheikh Ammar al-Hakim said: “We will not let separatists tear the country into pieces.”

RNA - The chairman of Iraq’s Supreme Council, Sheikh Ammar al-Hakim reiterated that the coalition of Iraqi army forces which consists of Sunni political parties in the government and parliament insists on the Iraqi people’s right to rule adding: “We will cut the hands of separatists and won’t let them torn the country in to pieces.”

 

“We’ve negotiated with the coalition of Sunni forces regarding our plans for the future of Iraq which have been prepared based on regional and international affairs and we’ll soon form a joint commission to work on this issue,” he added.

 

The Iraqi cleric noted: “We believe the success of this political agreement is achievable if all parties cooperated.”

 

“We are living in a very important period of history,” he continued.

 

According to local sources, some political movements inside Iraq along with a number of Arab countries of the Persian Gulf have reacted negatively to this political project which has been launched by the national coalition as a plan to lead Iraq out of crisis and help rebuild peace and stability in the country.
