RNA – Heading a delegation, Shaykh Akram al-Ka’bi, the Secretary-General of Harakat Hezbollah al-Nujaba, or the Movement of the Party of God’s Nobles, arrived in the Iranian capital on Friday to discuss the latest developments in Iraq with high-ranking Iranian officials, the official website of the resistance movement reported.

He is scheduled to sit down with Iran’s Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani on Saturday.

During his stay, the secretary general of Hezbollah al-Nujaba will also hold a press conference to provide details about the latest gains of the Iraqi army and resistance forces in their military campaign against Daesh (also known as ISIL or ISIS) terrorist group in areas near Mosul and other militant-held areas.

The Iraqi army is gearing up for a major offensive in late September to purge Daesh from Mosul, the country's second city. Iraqi forces have managed to wrest control of several areas in the southern parts of the city.
