RNA – Speaking in Mashhad with Astan News, Dr. Jamal Dabbagh, appreciated the initiative of holding the custodians of the Holy Shrines’ Conference, and considered holding such meetings as in favour of the integration and unity of the Muslims very important and stated, “This conference, will definitely contribute to the development of holy shrines and this convergence and synergy will certainly enhance the peace in Islamic countries.”
“The Holy Shrines’ Conference implies the message that today the centre of unity, is the Household of the Prophet Muhammad and country, soil, land, and race, are not our borders, but our boundaries are Islam and religious beliefs,” he said, adding that the Holy Shrines’ Conference, is a practical and long-lasting manifestation of unity among Islamic nations.
Noting the large number of pilgrims to the holy shrines, His Eminence stressed: “Enthusiasts of pilgrimage to the holy shrines are many and by working together, the holy shrines can benefit from each other’s experiences and can provide a quiet, prepared and appropriate atmosphere to establish spiritual relations and the enjoyment of pilgrims.”
Dr. Dabbagh described the secret of the Islamic world as victory against the conspiracies and threats of unity and solidarity, the teachings of Islam and the Household of the Apostle of God, and said, “The conduct and teachings of the Infallible Imams, are the secret of unity and solidarity of Islamic world, and particularly Shi’as.”
The custodian of the Holy Shrine of Kadhimiyah (the Shrines of Imam al-Jawad and Imam al-Kadhim in Baghdad, Iraq) emphasised the need for coherent and strong cultural programs for the pilgrims, saying: “We must exploit the presence of people in the holy shrines and their passion for the Infallible Imams for promotion of Islamic culture as well as we can.”
