RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Musayyib al-Nu’aymi, a former editor of Iran’s Arabic-language newspaper al-Wefaq, referred to the May 13th martyrdom of Mustafa Badreddin, a senior Hezbollah commander in Syria, saying: “There is no doubt that the position of Mustafa Badreddin, who was known by the alias ‘Dhulfiqar,’ is on par with Imad Mughniyeh and with his likes because he had initiative, experience and a special role in the fight against Israel.”
Al-Nu’aymi added that due to Badreddin’s high position in the Hezbollah, the enemies had a profound hatred in their hearts for him and Israel had been offering a special reward for many years on information regarding him.
“In fact, the enemies have used all of the potential and capabilities of their intelligence apparatuses to commit acts of terrorism against important elements of the Islamic Resistance,” he said.
The international affairs expert said that the martyrdom of Badreddin caused undeniable damage to Hezbollah and said: “Yet experience has shown that the martyrdom of the leaders of the Resistance who were always present on the frontlines and the assassinations of its leaders are not rational acts and will only create a new leap and great blessings for Hezbollah.”
al-Nu’aymi said that Badreddin made great strides in the battle against the Zionist regime and achieved significant gains, just as the martyrdom of Sayyid Abbas al-Mousawi, the co-founder and first Secretary-General of Hezbollah, caused for the Resistance.
“The same is also true in the case of martyr Imad Mughniyeh, and the martyrdom of this great commander has created a huge magnetism toward Hezbollah,” he said.
He added that the Zionist regime’s repeated threats to assassinate Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah are with same aim, saying that Israel believes that through assassinating important figures in the Islamic Resistance, they can create an uncertain future for Hezbollah. “This is while the reality is something else,” he said.
He pointed to Hezbollah’s statement that Takfiri groups allied with Israel were responsible for Badreddin’s assassination and that the footprint of some Arab countries’ intelligence agencies, especially those of Saudi Arabia, can be clearly seen in this issue
“Mustafa Badreddin’s martyrdom will be a turning point of the victory of the Resistance in Syria,” he stressed, adding: “To date, Takfiri groups have not fired one bullet towards Israel and are nothing but tools in the hands of Israel and Saudi Arabia.”
In conclusion, al-Nu’aymi said it is obvious that the US, Israel and some Arabic countries feel threatened by the Islamic Resistance and thus have focused their efforts to weaken it. The Saudis have made it clear that their position is close to the Zionists’ position.
