Rasa - Israel has persistently sought to engage in partnerships with as many countries as possible in a bid to rid itself of the restrictions the occupying regime has long been grappling with due primarily to regional and international isolation.

Rasa - Since the eruption of the Syrian crisis in 2011, the US dealt with the conflict using various tactics in a set of stages. Under Barack Obama, Washington embarked on the policy of supporting the so-called Free Syria Army (FSA) that did not last for a long time. Soon, disunity broke the FSA into pieces and its various units ended up fighting each other, to the US disappointment.

Rasa - Over the past years, the Israelis have worked hard to establish contacts with Arab states such as Saudi Arabia, the United Arab Emirates, and Bahrain. Their efforts mainly revolved around the transition from the unofficial, behind-the-scene links to open diplomatic relations.

Rasa - The United States has waged an endless war on the pretext of fighting terror in four Middle Eastern countries. This has displaced more than 20 million people in Iraq, Syria, Yemen and Afghanistan alone, while Washington looks the other way.

Rasa - UK-based NGO Airwars has offered a reckoning of the 2017 air operations of the US-led coalition in both Iraq and Syria. The number of civilians killed increased dramatically, with estimates suggesting that they roughly tripled from 2016.

Rasa - Iraq`s election is expected to determine the face of the new Iraq. That is why aside from the internal factions, the foreign actors are looking forward to influencing the electoral process and secure their place in the post-terror country.

Rasa - US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson must recognize that regime change in Syria was a losing strategy that did not work. The same could be said about efforts to set out new US policy goals aimed at justifying what he describes as an “open-ended” deployment.

Rasa - The strategy of "Divide and Rule" is once again being used by the United States in occupied Syria. As we speak, the War Party is backing various terror proxy forces in conflicts between each other and the Syrian state, both as a means of undermining their influence and consolidating its own authority.

Rasa - While the latest UN report on Yemen hasn’t been released to the public, it wrongfully faults Iran for not preventing weapons transfers to Yemen. Sadly, this appears to have glossed over much of the document, focused on the harm done to civilians by the Saudi-led coalition.

Rasa - Abdel Bari Atwan, the editor-in-chief of Rai al-Youm newspaper, underlined that while Turkey has adopted a strong position against the US plan to form a Border Security Force in Syria, it is not able to confront it without Iran and Russia.
