Rasa News Agency reports - Today, Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad-Ali Alavi-Gorgani met a group of professors from the University of Tafresh. He explained to them that the misuse of knowledge can bring about vanity and neglect and can cause the downfall of a learned person. “Those who work in academic fields must be careful that they do not fall into danger. Sometimes the gaining of knowledge can cause vanity and neglect in man,” he said.

His Eminence cited a few verses of the Quranic chapter “al-Hashr” (The Exile) and commented on its divine words, saying: “In this chapter, God says that people should never forget Him as others did before them. Man should observe piety and avoid actions that can result in many problems and plagues.”

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani stressed the necessity of preparing provisions to take from this world to the hereafter, saying: “Man must strive in this world so that he sees the befitting and meritorious result of his efforts in the hereafter.”

His Eminence stated that people should be careful of their actions in this transient world, saying: “Man should make a plan and have aims for his life in this world so that he is granted bliss and happiness in the hereafter.”

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani emphasized that God is observant of all human actions: “Man must be careful of his actions. If he knows that all his actions are being watched by God, he will avoid improper actions.”

His Eminence stressed upon the importance and necessity of evaluating one’s actions and deeds, as it divinely commanded to do so in the Holy Quran. “Man must take account of his actions and do good actions so that he is prepared for the hereafter,” Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani explained.
