Rasa News Agency reports - Today, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad-Sadeq Salehimanesh, the governor of Qom province, spoke at the Resistance Economy Conference in the holy city of Qom in the presence of directors of the seminaries and the secretary of the Expediency Council. He and the mayor of the city of Qom, Mohammad Delbari, expressed their views on economic issues.

 

He emphasized that it it necessary to properly present a model of an Islamic economy to the world. “Implementing an economy of resistance in our country that is against the sanctions and the pressures of our enemies will protect our country,” Hujjat al-Islam Salehimanesh explained.

 

“Our country has many God-given natural resources. In addition, we have a skilled population and workforce of qualified and committed citizens. A strong economy can be achieved by relying on the resources at our disposal to revitalize the economy,” he explained.

 

He stressed upon the importance of the government providing the necessary infrastructure required so that the people enter the field of economics: “If our economy became an economic driven by the people of our nation, the future of our country will be very bright.”

 

He explained that when Islamic economic principles are in line with the resistance economy, it will prosper. His Eminence explained these principles, stating: “With reflection and contemplation on [religious] teachings show us that combating corruption is one of the important methods of our religious leaders.”

 

Also, Mohammad Delbari, the mayor of Qom, also stated his views at the conference: “The resistance economy should resolve to create a national and managerial economic jihad [struggle] and seek to quickly build an administrative infrastructure and create a set of actions, programs and projects under the management of the municipality to strengthen the economy.”
