Rasa - Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani has said that man is in need of divinely-sent infallible prophets and imams to guide him towards perfection.

Rasa News Agency reports - Today Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Alavi-Gorgani spoke to a group of law enforcement personnel. In regards to the philosophy of the sending of divine and prophets and imams, he said: “Because man does not know the path to self-perfection and happiness, there must someone to guide them to the correct path. Mankind requires teachers and coaches in his life, and the infallible prophets and imams are the best coaches to bring people towards happiness and perfection.”

 

“In the Holy Quran, God has promised the righteous the glad-tidings of heavenly bliss, and punishment in hellfire to the wicked,” he warned.

 

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani stressed the importance of pure intentions: “God looks at His servants’ good intentions and he who intends to act only for the satisfaction of God, will be blessed.”

 

He explained that the knowledge of the prophets and imams from God. “The prophets and imams, because of their God-given knowledge, are aware of all things. Because of this, these infallible guides are the best teachers for mankind.”

 

“God looks at the heart and pure intentions of man and not his external appearance, thus we must prepare our hearts for God,” Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani stated.

 

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani addressed the military forces, saying: “the military forces have a very heavy responsibility and they should know that God will reward them greatly for their honest service to the Islamic system of government. Those who have joined the armed forces have accepted the Islamic system of government and they must strive with all their effort to serve the nation.”
