RNA - According to the Israeli Defense Forces, the new objective has been dubbed “Operation Norther Shield”; it will seek to end Hezbollah’s border incursions, the AMN reported.

No further details have been released at this time.

The Israeli Defense Forces have been illegally crossing into Lebanese territory for several months now, prompting the Lebanese government to file several complaints with the UNIFIL forces.

Hezbollah and Israel have a long history of hostilities that dates back to the Lebanese Civil War.

The two parties were involved in a month-long war in the Summer of 2006 that resulted in the death of several people and the destruction of many areas around Lebanon.
