RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency in Sari, Ayatollah Nourollah Tabarsi, the Friday prayer leader of Sari, offered his congratulations on the birth anniversary of the Prophet Muhammad and referred to the foresight of the great founder of the Islamic Revolution, Imam Khomeyni, in the naming this week as “Islamic Unity Week,” saying, “The opinions and thoughts of Imam Khomeyni have always been in the direction of strengthening the unity of the Islamic ummah.”
The representative of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution in Mazandaran province said that unity among Muslims is a strategic issue and added, “By naming this week as Islamic Unity Week, Imam Khomeyni provided the necessary means to achieve a comprehensive unity among Muslims in the world.”
He noted that presently, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] is the flagbearer of the strengthening of Islamic unity in the world and said, “All efforts of the Supreme Leader in recent decades to bring the Islamic ummah closer have been made on the basis of divine teachings, the lifestyle of the dear Prophet of Islam and the Ahlul-Bayt.”
Ayatollah Tabarsi said that there is no path for the Islamic ummah to escape from the conspiracy and hostility of the ill-wishers of Islam except through the path of unity and solidarity and emphasized, “Today, the Islamic world is not happy and, unfortunately, because of the spread of divisiveness by the arrogant powers and colonialists among Muslims, we have witnessed a critical situation in some Muslim countries of the region.”
The representative of the people of Mazandaran in the Assembly of Experts emphasized that it is time for the scholars of Islam to fulfill their historical mission against Islam and said, “The silence of the scholars of Islam in such circumstances isn’t beneficial in any manner because it will lead to a more critical conditions in the Islamic ummah.”
He said that the Qur’an and the Prophet of Islam established two important and common principles among all Muslims so that they can be united and stated, “The differences of opinion among Muslim scholars can be discussed and examined in scientific meetings and assemblies and there isn’t any incompatibility in regard to the issue of Islamic unity.”
Ayatollah Tabarsi referred to the holding of the International Islamic Unity Conference hosted by Iran each year and considered it a practical act by the Islamic Republic to strengthen the unity of the Islamic ummah and added, “Such academic and specialized meetings must be spread to all Islamic countries in order that we witness comprehensive unity among Muslims.”
In conclusion, His Eminence considered the reconciliation of the schools of thought and denominations as a healing remedy for the Islamic ummah and pointed out, “Unfortunately, after the death of the Prophet Muhammad, deviant movements have always tried to create a separation between these two important principles so that they can achieve their sinister goals.”
