RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Javad Mojtahed-Shabestari, the representative of the people of West Azerbaijan province in the Assembly of Experts, argued that presently, the United States is in a state of weakness and decline and said, “Due to the existence of some economic problems in Iran, the president of the United States [Donald Trump] claimed that Iran was in a state of turbulence and that its economy was in a dire situation, while everyone, with a little examination, can understand that Trump is a liar.”
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary said that by using the tool of the media, the United States tries to bring the people of Iran toward itself and stated, “By misrepresenting the truth, the enemies are attempting to show the Islamic system as unreasonable to the will and views of the [Iranian] people.”
Hujjat al-Islam Mojtahed-Shabestari noted that the enemies are seeking to propagate a dark image of Iran without reflecting of the presence of the people in various fields and said, “If the smallest protest movement takes place in the most remote part of Iran, the enemies will magnify and inflate it but they don’t show the massive presence of the people in defending revolutionary aspirations and values.”
Referring to the rallies in more than 1,000 cities and towns across Iran to mark the anniversary of the 1979 takeover of the American embassy by Iranian students in Tehran on November 4th, he said that the enemies are seeking to lie, to fabricate and to not reveal the realities of the events occurring in Iran and added, “We saw that this year, the rallies marking November 4th were held with greater passion and were more widespread then ever before and the people patriated in these rallies with more passion and intensity but the enemies try to misrepresent these facts.”
Hujjat al-Islam Mojtahed-Shabestari stressed that the role of youth in advancing the goals of the Islamic Revolution is undeniable said, “Since the beginning of the revolution, the youth and teenagers have played a major role in various fields. Therefore, the government must play special attention to the youth and their role in the administration of the country. The guidance of the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Khamenei] in this field will be a priority in their work, as the youth are the engine of the community’s drive toward progress.”
