RNA – In a meeting with the chairman and a group of directors of the National Standards Organization of Iran, Grand Ayatollah Mohammad-Ali Alavi-Gorgani said that God Almighty has established all the works of the world as a means of entertainment for mankind and said, “We read in the Quran the material data-x-items and the life of the world may lead us to prosperity in the hereafter.”
The revered source of emulation added, “This is a lesson for all officials – that the worldly life of those who are believers will be good. Your have very heavy responsibilities in order that no actions and betrayal are taken against the rights of the people.”
He said, “Production, food and halal and haram issues are in your hands and unless it’s done carefully, unfortunately, it leads to corruption in the country or if our goods aren’t manufactured with quality, the people are likely to purchase other goods.”
Referring to the fact that people’s lives and livelihoods today are fraught with hardship, Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani stated, “This difficulties of life among the people causes corruption in society. We also have a narration that states ‘if financial pressure is imposed on the people, their religion is in danger.’ Therefore, religion and the faith of people are the reasons for the correct actions of the officials.”
Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani stated, “We must not open the path of betrayal in the country. For what we have heard, some individuals have tried to offer the meat of animals which are forbidden to eat under the name of halal meat to the people. However, they were arrested before achieving their goals. Therefore, some of the enemies of the people want to make a fortune in any possible way and if there is no proper monitoring, a lot of problems will be created.”
His Eminence stated, “You always see yourself in God’s presence. The reputation of the country depends on the actions of the officials and the greater the fraud and betrayal in the industries of the country, the more corruption will increase.”
