RNA - Addressing a large and fervent congregation of the people in Tehran on Friday, Ayatollah Emami Kashani said, "They will wait in their plot the same way they have failed to earn anything in the past 40 years; I hope Mr. (Donald) Trump and (Benjamin) Netanyahu would take this dream to grave soon."

The senior cleric pointed to the recent remarks by Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Ayatollah Seyed Ali Khamenei on enemy's psychological war against Iran, and said, "The enemy's psychological war is aimed at creating tensions for our people and they want to separate the people from the ruling system."

"The unwise US president says that the day he walked to the White House, he asked about the time needed to capture the Middle East; therefore, the main issue was over capturing the Middle East," Ayatollah Emami Kashani added.

According to Fars News Agancy,  he underlined that the Middle East is not merely Iran and there are other Muslim states in the region as well.

In relevant remarks in late June, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council (SNSC) Ali Shamkhani blasted the US and its regional allies for fueling insecurity and instability in the region, and said that the Muslim countries should resist Washington's bullying.

"The US, the Zionist regime and certain regional countries have leading role in major crises in the region," Shamkhani said in a meeting with National Security Advisor to the Iraqi Prime Minister Faleh al-Fayad.

He underlined that some countries that think they can ensure their own security and stability of the region by putting their trust in the United States are practically bolstering terrorism, and said, "The White House leaders do not even hesitate to shamelessly attack Iraqi and Syrian armed forces in order to support terrorism."

Shamkhani reiterated that Iran has always stood by the Iraqi people.

"It is Tehran's unwavering stance to support the Iraqi nation's demands in line with the war-ravaged country's development and progress, particularly after the defeat of terrorism," he added.
