Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam Zonnour said “Today, people stand up [for the Islamic Revolution] despite the conditions facing the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and despite not having a good livelihood.”

RNA – Speaking in the Islamic Consultative Assembly (the Iranian parliament) on Tuesday, Hujjat al-Islam Mojtaba Zonnour, the representative of the people of Qom in the Islamic Consultative Assembly, “We must thank the people of this country, especially the revolutionary people of Qom, for their magnificent participation in the International al-Quds Day marches.”

 

The senior Iranian cleric added, “Today, people stand up [for the Islamic Revolution] despite the conditions facing the ideals of the Islamic Revolution and despite not having a good livelihood.” 

 

Criticizing the anti-corruption process, he said, “Despite the great emphasis placed by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] on combating corruption in the country, there has not yet been a major action in this regard. You should ask the heads of the three branches of government if they want to give their report on the fight against corruption to the Supreme Leader, will this report be acceptable?”

 

Hujjat al-Islam Zonnour addressed the president of Iran, Hasan Rouhani and said, “Today, the situation of work has been removed from the hands of the president. In many parts of our country, we are facing serious problems, which directly puts pressure on the lives of the people.” 

 

The member of the National Security and Foreign Policy Commission in the Islamic Consultative Assembly added, “This year, the people of our country have had empty iftar tables this year and prices have increased throughout the entire country.”
