RNA – In an exclusive interview with Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sadeq Golzadeh, a member of the Assembly of the Representatives of Seminarians, explained the components of supporting the purchase and usage of domestically-manufactured goods in an Islamic society and said, “The slogan chosen by the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution [Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei] for this year truly saves the problems faced by the Iran economy and is a breakthrough.”
Ayatollah Khamenei named the Iranian year 1397 “Support for Iranian Products” in his speech on Norouz [the Iranian new year] on March 21, 2018 and called on Iranians to support the Resistance Economy.
The Iranian cleric described economic prosperity as the beginning of political and cultural prosperity, saying, “When the country’s economy flourishes, then the social and political culture of Iran is also saved and transformed because the economy plays a role a politics and is a base of support in all areas.”
Referring to Islamic principles and the verse of Nafi al-Sabil in the Quran [4:141], Hujjat al-Islam Golzadeh stated, “When the foundations of an action which strengthens the faith of Islamic society and the believers is taken into consideration, anything that damages the dignity of faith and Islam is denied and negated of Islam and the Quran.”
In an explanation of the reason why the purchase and usage of domestically-produced goods must be supported, His Eminence said, “Today, purchasing non-Iranian goods, especially goods that help strengthen the arrogant powers, the colonialists and the Zionist front, is oppression against the community of faith and the Islamic system.”
Referring to the conspiracies of the enemies of the Islamic regime in various fields in order to eliminate the Islamic Revolution, he said, “The enemies of the Islamic system, such as the United States, the Zionist regime, the arrogant powers of the world and the reactionary states of the region, especially Saudi Arabia, are constantly plotting against the Iranian nation in various social, political, cultural and economic spheres.”
Hujjat al-Islam Golzadeh said that the path to counter the enemies’ levers of pressure against Iran was through the Resistance Economy, and said, “From the past until now, these enemies have tried to harm the Islamic Republic in various ways, such as war, influence and sanctions and the economic sanctions themselves are a lever of deterrence which has been imposed on the people and the Islamic nation of Iran and the best way to counter this leverage, is the Resistance Economy.”
The cultural issues analyst described the response to the recommendations of the Supreme Leader as a “breakthrough” and said, “To counteract the actions and plots of the enemies, we must respond to the recommendations of the Supreme Leader and, in particular, the prominent concepts he posed in the field of economics, such as the Resistance Economy and support for domestically-manufactured goods.”
He emphasized the culture of wilayah (guardianship) and adherence to wilayah as essential elements in regard to the support by the people for domestically-manufactured goods and stated, “We must strengthen the awakening, be vigilant in the transmission of revolutionary messages, awareness and insight in society by building culture in the fields of wilayah and democracy in order to institutionalize the culture of support for domestically-manufactured goods for the people of society and so that in the future, we will witness economic and cultural prosperity in the country.”
