RNA – In an exclusive interview with the international correspondent of Rasa News Agency, Shaykh Maher Abdul-Razzaq, the head of Lebanon’s Reformation and Unity Movement, referred to Hezbollah’s victory in the May 6th Lebanese parliamentary election, “Without doubt, Lebanon’s parliamentary elections are one of the battlegrounds of contention for the Islamic Resistance Axis, under the representation of Hezbollah, with the axis of evil embodied in the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia. The enemies are trying to weaken the Islamic Resistance to the lowest level possible by reducing Hezbollah’s strength in Lebanon.”
The Lebanese Sunni cleric added, “The Lebanese people demonstrated, with all their groups, parties and movementsthat they stand alongside the Islamic Resistance Axis because most voters responded positively to the ideals of the Islamic Resistance Axis and resisted against the Zionist-American enemies and their regional allies. Their victory in Lebanon complemented the victory of the Islamic Resistance Axis in Iraq, Syria and Yemen and was the continuation of the path of Islamic Republic of Iran.”
Arguing that this battle is endless, Shaykh Abdul-Razzaq said that this battle against the ‘axis of evil,’ namely the United States, Israel and Saudi Arabia, continues and will continue until the destruction of the false Zionist regime from the world and the liberation of Palestine. Although we have won the elections, there are a number of different regional and global developments ahead which require serious efforts and determination in order in order to achieve a successful exit from these arenas.
His Eminence described the victory of Hezbollah in the elections as a “brutal blow” against the faces of the enemies of the Islamic ummah and said, “Although some immoral acts and behaviours were committed by some in Beirut, most Lebanese people have a special respect for Hezbollah. The spiteful Saudi media, which have always sought to disseminate falsehoods and destroy the majesty of Lebanon, also covered those post-election events, but these marginal issues will not go away.”
He said, “Hezbollah is much greater than a handful of accusations thrown from the battlefield. Hezbollah treats all peoples and tribes with respect and affection and this is not unusual because Hezbollah is the Lebanese Resistance, which brought us security and tranquility, destroyed the Takfiri terrorists and tore up Israel in the region. If Hezbollah was not present, we would not have been able to hold these elections today, nor would we be able to easily sit in our homes or even criticize Hezbollah.”
Referring to the Israeli movements in the north of the occupied territories and the possibility of a war on Lebanon, Shaykh Abdul-Razzaq added, “Israel is even more incapable of attacking Lebanon. Today, Lebanon is at the peak of authority and power and Israel must to prepare its shelters. With the grace of God and thanks to the Islamic Resistance in 2000 and 2006, we put Israel in its place. Any military action against Lebanon means the complete destruction of Israel.”
