Rasa - Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani warned Washington that it should pay a high price to implement its decision to relocate embassy in Tel Aviv to Jerusalem al-Quds.

RNA - "None of the Muslim states have accepted the decision made for the holy Quds and they have all humiliated the decision and it is not clear if they (the US and Israel) can implement this project easily because this decision will cost them a lot," Larijani told reporters in Tehran on Tuesday.

He referred to US President Donald Trump's decision to visit the occupied territories to move Washington's embassy to Jerusalem al-Quds, and said, "Mr. Trump knows no boundary for solidarity with the Zionist regime's conditions and he is ready to sacrifice the US interests for this regime to implement his thoughts in this regard but they will be troubled."

"Many elements and factors are influential in the region and therefore, their moves will not benefit them," Larijani said.

According to Fars News Agancy, in relevant remarks last month, Iranian Foreign Ministry Spokesman Bahram Qassemi called on the Islamic states to show more seriousness against the US decision to relocate its embassy from Tel Aviv to Holy Quds.

"This is one of the United States' very wrong policies, for which it will pay the price in the future," Qassemi said.

US President Donald Trump formally recognized Jerusalem al-Quds as Israel's "capital" on December 6 and announced plans to move the US embassy to the Holy Quds.

"With the mindlessness which we see in American decisions, there is a need for serious action in the Islamic world," Qassemi said.
