RNA - The terrorists in Homs province sustained heavy losses in tough battle with the Syrian army.

 

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

 

Homs

 

The Syrian Army troops engaged in heavy fighting with terrorists in Eastern Homs, inflicting major losses on them, well-informed sources reported on Friday.

 

The sources said that the army men exchanged heavy fire with ISIL in al-Mo'ayzaliyah region near Homs border with Deir Ezzur province, killing a number of militants and destroying their equipment.

 

Also, the Syrian Air Force pounded ISIL's positions in Eastern Badiyeh (desert) and near Mount al-Mohassa in Southeastern Homs, destroying their positions and killing a number of them.

 

In the meantime, the army's missile and artillery units shelled heavily terrorists' strongholds near the towns of al-Qantou and al-Sa'an region and the village of Tir Ma'ala after militants violated ceasefire and targeted the army positions in Northern Homs.

 

Hama

 

The Syrian Army troops have beaten the ISIL back from fifteen more villages in Northeastern Hama, inching closer to a complete liberation of the region, military sources said on Friday.

 

The army men stormed the ISIL terrorists trapped in a region between the provinces of Hama, Idlib and Aleppo and drove them back from the villages of Artavaziyeh Mokhlef, Mokhlef, Jubb al-Hamlan, Rasm Jubb al-Hamlan, Ein al-Na'ajah, Rasm al-Dab, Rasm al-Dhaba'a, Ma'ar Shamali, Ma'ar Janoubi, Kaviraj, Tal Showeih, Rasm al-Sabal, Abu Ajvah Sharqi, Abu Ajvah Qarbi and al-Jarirah in Northeastern Hama.

 

Military sources confirmed on Friday that the army freed the villages of Rasm Maz'hi, Jubb al-Heb, Rajm Ja'arah, Makhlaf  Shamali,  Ein al-Zarqh, al-Shamtaniyah, Shiheh al-Hamrah, al-Mantar and al-Mositabiyeh after heavy fighting against ISIL.

 

The sources said that 98 percent of the ISIL-held region among the provinces of Hama, Aleppo and Idlib has come under the army's control.

 

They added that the remaining pockets of the ISIL have retreated towards the villages of al-Shiheh, Anbaz and Sarouj.

 

Aleppo

 

The Syrian Army, backed up by artillery units, engaged in heavy fighting with terrorist groups in Western and Northwestern countryside of Aleppo, local sources reported on Friday.

 

The sources said that the army men clashed with terrorist groups in Menyan, al-Bohouth al-Elmiyeh, Tal Showeihana, al-Rashedeen and al-Mansourah regions in Western and Northwestern countryside of Aleppo city.

 

Also, the army's artillery and missile units pounded terrorists' positions in the villages of al-Lairamoun and Kafr Hamra, inflicting major losses on the militants.

 

Dara'a

 

Field sources said on Friday that two notorious field commanders of the terrorist groups affiliated to the Free Syrian Army (FSA) were killed in heavy infighting with the ISIL in the Southern province of Dara'a.

 

The sources said that the ISIL-linked Jeish Khalid Bin Walid clashed fiercely with two FSA-affiliated groups in Hawz al-Yarmouk in Dara'a that inflicted eight casualties on the FSA.

 

The sources further said that Commander of Liwa al-Haramein-Firqah al-Haq Sami al-Safouri and Commander of Elite Forces of Jeish al-Thowrah Omar Saleh Joma'a were among the killed FSA-affiliated terrorists.

 

Dissident-affiliated websites reported earlier that the Free Syrian Army deployed in the Southern province of Dara'a had arrested one of the participants in the Congress of the Syrian National Dialogue in Russia's Sochi as a number of terrorist groups had banned participation in the event.

 

The websites reported that the FSA-affiliated Shahid Mohammad al-Shar'a Battalion deployed in the town of Da'el in Southern Dara'a arrested Khalid al-Shar'a that had participated in the Congress of the Syrian National Dialogue in Russia's Sochi.

 

Al-Shar'a was arrested while entering Dara'a from Da'el passageway.

 

The FSA-affiliated battalion announced in a statement that they sent al-Shar'a to jail, and summoned all those in terrorist-held regions in Dara'a that had taken part in Sochi talks.
