Rasa – The head of the National Iraqi Alliance praised the “devotion and courage” of the country’s army in its fight against the Daesh terrorist movement.

RNA – According to Rasa News Agency, Hujjat al-Islam Sayyid Ammar al-Hakim, the head of the National Iraqi Alliance, congratulated the Iraqi National Army on the occasion of the 90th anniversary of the establishment of the Iraqi Army, saying, “The Iraqi army is an army for all the people of this country,” the report said.

 

The head of the National Wisdom Movement added that the Iraqi army played a very important role in defending the unity and integrity of this country during different periods, saying, “The Iraqi fighters in the security units brought victories to the people of the country.”

 

He also called for more attention by the government to the armed forces and security forces and noted, “The government must donate them lands or residential units as a reward for their victory of terrorism to the military, especially to the martyrs’ families.”

 

“The Iraqi people must be proud of their army, because they have made many sacrifices in the fight against Daesh terrorist group and forced these criminals to retreat,” he said. 

 

Haydar al-Abadi, the prime minister of Iraq and commander-in-chief of the armed forces, said in a message, “Iraqi militants defended their land against their enemies with their passion and thanks to their victories, the Iraqi people could pass from the most difficult stages of the current era.”

 

Salim al-Jabouri, the speaker of the Iraqi parliament, congratulated the army on this day and argued that the army with its ability and power was the definitive treatment for the large cancer that is Daesh.

 

He emphasized, “The extraordinary courage of the army to defeat the homeland and the freedom of the country has amazed the world.”
