RNA – Grand Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad-Ali Alavi-Gorgani spoke with a group of seminary students on Saturday night from the Islamic Seminary of Qom who held a gathering held to call on the Iranian government to solve the people’s problems, especially those related to the current economic situation in the country.

The prominent teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom appreciated the revolutionary seminarians for their sympathy for the country and the people.

He said that all actions must be based on divine satisfaction and only God must be considered in these actions and noted, “After having obeyed God and the Ahlul-Bayt, we must move forward under the shadow of Wilayat al-Faqih [Guardianship of the Jurisprudent] and if we move under the shadow of the Wilayat al-Faqih, we will surely be victorious and successful.”

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani argued that the secret of the victory of the Islamic Revolution was the adherence of the people of the late Imam Khomeyni as the Wali al-Faqih [Guardian-Jurisconsult] and said, “If it wasn’t for Wilayat al-Faqih and the people didn’t follow it, the Islamic Revolution wouldn’t have been successful.”

The revered source of emulation added, “Imam al-Mahdi says that in the events that will occur, the people must refer to those who narrate our narrations. There are always events occurring and we must be alert in regard to how to deal with each event. If a nation has a leader and a ruler and they people obey him, they will achieve victory.”

He explained that holding on to the rope of God and guardianship guarantees the success of society and noted, “Islam is a universal religion and intends to guide all the people of the world. If we are all under the command of the Supreme Leader and pursue Wilayat al-Faqih, we will certainly attain victory and work will be corrected.”

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani said, “If there are some issues in the country, it’s because of the fact that there are problems with work and this issue must be examined. We must always move on the line of Wilayat al-Faqih and the Supreme Leader and do our work with his permission.”

The revered Iranian cleric stated, “We are all indebted to the Islamic Revolution because those who have given their blood, property and lives are the main owners of the Revolution. Responsibility is the duty of the authorities and the people are. If we are thankful for the blessings of God, God will not abandon us, and if there is a problem, it’s from us.”

He added, “With the principled and orderly movements the country’s work will go ahead. It must be ensured that the youth aren’t deceived by the enemies’ conspiracies. The enemies have never cared or had sympathy for the people because it only has its own interests in mind. Therefore, we must be vigilant and take into account the views of the Supreme Leader and the authorities.”

Ayatollah Alavi-Gorgani said that we must be proud of the existence of a knowledgeable, self-sacrificing, courageous, brave and resourceful leader in the country and added, “The Supreme Leader has practically proved these superior traits and has so far saved the Islamic Revolution from the conspiracies of the enemies. We hope that his existence will be protected under the shadow of the Imam of the Time [Imam al-Mahdi] from tribulations.”

He added, “The president and the officials must consider the demands of the people and think about the livelihoods and employment situation of society. This must not be seen in their statements only but in practice and they must actually solve the problems.”

His Eminence said, “There is a waste of money in the country and there are issues that must be taken care of in a country where the youth are unemployed and there are livelihood problems. We’re seeking margins, costs and expenses. The authorities have to be careful about costs and work through cutting back marginal costs.”
