RNA - "The time picked up for holding the Syrian and Russian leaders' meeting after the Syrian army's control over Albu Kamal, the ISIL's last base in Syria, has lots of meanings and is like a celebration to end an era and start reconstruction in Syria," Atwan wrote on Wednesday.

He also pointed to the Wednesday meeting in Sochi with participation of the Iranian, Russian and Turkish presidents, and said, "Certainly, it is not just a celebration but it is being held with the aim of organization and reconstruction of the entire region distanced from any role played by the US and Europe."

Atwan said the Sochi meeting will be repeated again in the presence of President Assad and his Russian, Iranian and Turkish counterparts.

Iranian President Hassan Rouhani headed to Russia on Wednesday at the invitation of his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin.

"President Hassan Rouhani will travel to Sochi in Russia on Wednesday at the official invitation of Vladimir Putin for a one-day visit to participate in the trilateral summit of the Iranian, Russian and Turkish presidents on Syria," Iranian Vice-President for Communications and Information Parviz Esmayeeli wrote on his internet page on Monday.

He added that President Rouhani will also have separate meetings with his Russian and Turkish counterparts.
