Rasa – Hujjat al-Islam Alavi-Mehr said, “Imam Husayn stood uptight against the enemies but he didn’t utter any words of disrespect and used no foul language against the enemies. He was seen talking with dignity, pride and great respect.”

RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Dr. Hoseyn Alavi-Mehr, a member of the board of education of al-Mustafa International University discussed the personalities of Imam Husayn and Lady Zaynab and said, “They and their companions always spoke justly. If any of them were silent it was because of patience but Imam Husayn and his companions spoke and gave detail of every small event.”


The Iranian cleric added, “His companions spoke with Umar ibn Sa’ad and his people who had come for war that didn’t they wrote the letters and invited Imam Husayn and Umar ibn Sa’ad ordered one of his men to reply to this claim but he refrained by saying that that they wrote the letters.”


Hujjat al-Islam Alavi-Mehr said, “Similarly, Lady Zaynab never once did miss her Salat al-Layl [night prayers] keeping all the hardships and troubles aside. Even on the night of the 11th of Muharram she was praying and until the day she embraced martyrdom she never missed her Salat al-Layl.”

“Ashura teaches us the respect others. Imam Husayn quenched the thirst of Hurr ibn Yazid al-Tamimi and his men, even his horses and always talked with dignified manner to the army of Umar ibn Sa’ad,” Hujjat al-Islam Alavi-Mehr noted.
