Ayatollah Mohsen Heydari:
Rasa – Ayatollah Heydari said that the Americans have a humiliating stance and said: “This humiliating stance have been beautified with displays of power and threats but the point of the matter is that they feel a sense of fear and terror.”
Ayatollah Mohsen Heydari

RNA  In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Mohsen Heydari, the representative of people of Khuzestan province in the Assembly of Experts, referred to the “nonsensical” speech delivered by the President of the United States, Donald Trump, on October 13th and said, “If someone thinks carefully about the hidden meaning behind the audacious statements made by Trump and explanations by the White House, he would realize that all of these statements and explanations are due to their fear and terror over the greatness of the Islamic Revolution and the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC).”

The Friday prayer leader of Ahvaz added that there was no motive for these positions except to conceal the fear and terror of the Americans and noted, “Due to the numerous failures of the arrogant powers and international Zionists, they suffered great shame and frustration and due to this pressure, they made threatening statements in a foolish and cowardly manner.”

Ayatollah Heydari said that there is no power behind the statements of the Americans and noted, “The recent nonsensical statements made by Trump are due to feelings of fear, terror and loneliness. The allies of the United States in Europe have declined to accept this move but this is not sufficient.”

The Iranian cleric added, “The United States has been isolated in the world and signs of regret over their isolation and passivity have been seen and the United States Secretary of State [Rex Tillerson] has said that ‘our purpose regarding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) is not to tear up the agreement but we only want to negotiate.’”

He said that the Americans have taken a humiliating position, “These humiliating positions have been beautified with displays of power and threats but the point of the matter is that they feel a sense of fear and terror. Fortunately, the Iranian authorities have taken good positions against the enemies’ threats.”

Ayatollah Heydari said, “The positions taken by [Iranian] president [Hasan Rouhani] and the government officials were good, especially the strong and decisive response of the commanders of the IRGC which caused the Americans to retreat from their positions and their words. At first, they spoke about designating the IRGC as a terrorist organization but in the end, the issue of new sanctions was raised and this reflects the humiliating position taken by the arrogant powers.”

In his speech on October 13th, Trump maliciously and arrogantly outlined the United States’ strategy regarding the Islamic Republic of Iran.

He refused to certify the JCPOA, which is an international nuclear agreement between Iran and the five permanent members of the United Nations Security Council and Germany, and warned he might ultimately terminate it, in defiance of other world powers and undermining a landmark victory of multilateral diplomacy.

Trump also said he would choose not to certify that Tehran is complying with the nuclear deal.

Due to pressure from their allies in Europe, American officials have attempted to backtrack from Trump’s remarks.
