RNA – Speaking at a ceremony held at the husayniyah of the southern Lebanese village of Bazouriyeh, Hujjat al-Islam Nabil Qawouq said, “The region has entered new equations that are completely in the interest of the Islamic Resistance project and are in conflict with the hopes of Saudi Arabia, the United States and the Zionist regime.”
The vice-president of the Executive Council of Hezbollah welcomed the victory of Iraqi forces in Iraq’s Kirkuk Governorate and the liberation of the strategic city of Kirkuk from the Kurdish Peshmerga forces, adding, “The strategic achievements made by the Iraqi government in Kirkuk over the past few days were a new achievement for the Islamic Resistance Axis and a new defeat for [American President Donald] Trump, the United States and Israel and their allies in the region.”
He explained, “Hezbollah militants are now fighting in different parts of Syria to destroy Daesh and this is a service to Lebanon since the achievement of security and stability in Lebanon is not possible while Daesh and al-Nusrah Front bases are present in Syria. Therefore, the victory over Daesh in Syria means the victory of Lebanon and Palestine.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq said, “We are not surprised at the increase in political, economic and media pressure against the Islamic Resistance because we have achieved successive victories and the enemies are upset due to these victories. Two years ago, Hezbollah was placed on the list of terrorist organizations by Saudi Arabia and sanctions were imposed against it but this conspiracy failed and did not even change our position one bit and today as well, nothing is changing.”
The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric continued, “Trump, who threatens Hezbollah with increased financial and economic sanctions, must know that the United States can never change Hezbollah’s positions through pressures and threats and Hezbollah will continue to achieve victories.”
He emphasized that the flag of victory of the Islamic Resistance has been raised in every place against the will of the enemies just as it has been raised on the eastern borders of Lebanon and in the Syrian desert.
Regarding the American threats, Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq said, “Have the cries of the United States and Saudi Arabia ever been able to change in our positions and can’t they realize that they failed to realize their goals despite the thousands of bombs dropped on Lebanon by the Zionist regime in the 2006 war?”
The senior Hezbollah official, “These cries by Saudi Arabia and the United States demonstrate their disappointment, weakness and inability in the face of the Islamic Resistance and we never expect to see anything other than grudges and disappointment from them. We will be present on the battlefield because the equations are in the field, not on the pulpit.”
Hujjat al-Islam Qawouq noted that by paying money and calling for an attack on Hezbollah, Saudi Arabia was trying to create a Lebanese axis for targeting the Islamic Resistance but this plan also failed and Saudi Arabia came to the conclusion that Lebanon is resistant to Saudi orders and will never become a scene to offset the Saudi defeat in the region.
