Rasa - The Syrian Army troops restored security to the Homs-Palmyra highway after capturing several regions and storming ISIL's positions and gatherings in Northeastern Homs on Monday.

RNA - The ISIL terrorists in Homs province sustained heavy losses in tough battle with the Syrian army.

 

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

 

Homs

 

The Syrian Army troops stormed ISIL's positions and gatherings in Northeastern Homs on Monday and restored security to the Homs-Palmyra highway after capturing several regions.

 

The army men retook control over the small town of Humeimeh that was the last ISIL stronghold in the region.

 

Also, a military source said that the army soldiers launched their anti-ISIL operation from the three flanks of Abu Qala dam, North of T4 airbase and Jubb al-Jarrah region.

 

The source further said that the army forces managed to restore security to the T4 airbase and the Homs-Palmyra highways.

 

The Syrian Army troops pushed ISIL back from more positions in Eastern Homs on Saturday and reopened a chunk of the highway that connects Palmyra (Tadmur) city to the town of al-Sukhnah after a week of clashes.

 

The Palmyra-Sukhnah Highway was reopened after the army soldiers successfully expelled the ISIL terrorists from the Al-Hayl Gas Field that is located South of al-Sukhnah.

 

Field sources also said that the army forces were attempting to clear the remaining points under the ISIL's control along the al-Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur Highway.

 

Meantime, the Syrian Army troops continued to advance against ISIL near al-Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur highway in Eastern Homs and captured another strategic height on Monday.

 

The army men engaged in fierce clashes with the ISIL East of the town of al-Sukhnah Northeast of Palmyra city, and captured al-Saroukh hill that overlooks the al-Sukhnah-Deir Ezzur highway.

 

A large number of terrorists were killed or wounded and a large volume of ISIL's military equipment were destroyed in the operation.

Hama

 

Two senior commanders of Al-Nusra Front were killed in clashes with the Syrian Army troops in Northeastern Hama, militant-affiliated websites reported Monday.

 

The websites reported that Al-Nusra Commander Abu Omar was killed in the army attack in Northeastern Hama.

 

They added that Khalid Shalal al-Ahmad, nom de guerre Abu Adam, another field commander of Al-Nusra was also killed in heavy fighting with the army soldiers in the town of Tal Aswad in Northeastern Hama.

 

Idlib

 

The Al-Nusra Front (Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at or the Levant Liberation Board) engaged in fierce clashes with two other terrorist groups after the Turkish Army troops crossed the border into Syria on Sunday, militant-affiliated websites reported Monday.

 

The websites said that Al-Nusra started clashes with Ahrar al-Sham and Faylaq al-Rahman in the town of Armanaz in Northwestern Idlib and captured the town.

 

A number of gunmen from both warring sides were killed or wounded in the clashes.

 

A Turkish military delegation, accompanied by an Al-Nusra escort, entered Northern Idlib via Atmah passageway to take part in negotiations with Al-Nusra, the websites disclosed.

 

In the meantime, former Chief Commander of Ahrar al-Sham said that Al-Nusra attacked Ahrar al-Sham and other terrorist group to force them to stop demand for Turkish military intervention some two months ago, but now, the Al-Nusra is ignoring the Turkish forces' military meddling.
