RNA – Ayatollah Abdul-Amir Qabalan, the vice-president of the Supreme Shi’ah Council of Lebanon, said that political stability as an essential element for the development of Lebanon and added, “This issue is demanded by all of the people of Lebanon who are eager for the establishment of security and peace.”

The Lebanese Shi’ah cleric added, “We call on the politicians to strictly refrain from tense discourse, ranting rhetoric and engagement in futile quarrels and to adhere to the voice of reason and the approach of moderation which provides the basis for political stability and is urgently needed in the light of the chaos and turmoil which exists in the region.”

According to Ayatollah Qabalan, the Middle East is an undesirable and tense state because of the irresponsible statements and threats from the Zionists after the victories achieved by Lebanon over the Takfiri terrorists and added that the country’s stability, security and unity are at stake.

The vice-president of the Supreme Shi’ah Council of Lebanon stressed the need for a secure political network to expand visits and consultations which lead to political understandings and to distance Lebanon from disintegration, division and fragmentation and added, “This a very important issue on the eve of parliamentary elections as it will enable the country to achieve maturity.”

Ayatollah Qabalan stressed, “The government is responsible for the social stability of the citizens and it must provide them with health, education and social services and attempt to solve the economic crisis in the country and create new job opportunities which will reduce the rampant unemployment and revive the economic cycle in the region.”

His Eminence added, “Therefore, we call for accelerating the process of extracting oil and its derivatives from the land and the waters of Lebanon so that the Lebanese people will have the wealth that is hidden in the land of their country.”
