RNA – In his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Quds Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Seyyed Hashem Hoseyni-Bushehri referred to the anniversary of the assault by the tyrannous Pahlavi regime on Qom’s Feyzieh Seminary on March 23, 1963 and said that the Shah’s bloodthirsty forces attacked and broke the privacy of the clergymen and the seminary on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Ja’far al-Sadiq and added that this attack was pre-planned since the time of Grand Ayatollah Abdol-Karim Haeri, who revitalized the Islamic Seminary of Qom in 1922.
The member of the board of directors of the Assembly of Experts added, “The tyrannous forces of the Pahlavi regime attacked and martyred many clergymen and were even intent on attacking Grand Ayatollah Sayyed Mohammad-Reza Golpaygani. This was the work of the oppressors and was the spark that accelerated the Islamic Revolution and led to the victory of the Revolution.”
Referring to the anniversary of the first round of the formation and opening of the Assembly of Experts, which was first convened on July 14, 1983, he said, “The most golden leaf in the work of the Assembly of Experts was the election of Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei to the leadership of the Islamic Revolution after the passing of Imam Khomeyni [in 1989]. This assembly is one of the most influential institutions in the Islamic Republic.”
In other remarks, Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri offered congratulations on the liberation of Mosul from the Daesh Takfiri terrorists, saying that this political victory was not only the victory for the Iraqi government and the people of Iraq, but rather it can be said explicitly that the liberation of Mosul was the victory of the front of truth against the front of falsehood.
“This victory was the result of the ‘obligatory jihad’ fatwa issued by Grand Ayatollah Sayyid Ali al-Sistani against the deceitful Takfiri terrorists and their supporters,” he stressed.
The member of Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom continued, saying, “During this victory, more than a dozen terrorists were killed and a great blow was dealt against the Takfiri phenomenon and they collapsed. We advise the Iraqi people and the government of Iraq that this victory isn’t sufficient and be vigilant as the enemies are in the midst of creating further sedition in Iraq.”
He condemned the whims of independence by Iraq’s Kurdistan Region as an act of sedition by the enemies to harm Iraq and said, “The supporters of the plotting imperialist powers, especially the Zionist regime, are pursuing this issue and are seeking to create a second Israel in that region and the people and Islamic countries should be vigilant.”
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri said, “The decisive stance of the Supreme Leader, along with the Iraqi government and people, and the Shi’ah religious authorities, namely Ayatollah al-Sistani, as well as the decisive stance of our commanders, especially Major General Qasem Soleymani, had a very impressive effect.”
The member of the Supreme Council of the Seminaries noted that after every operation, the Iraqi forces displayed the picture of this courageous commander of Islam as a sign of victory of the image of this commander.
He added, “Fortunately, the Iraqi people and government didn’t wait for the Arab League or the American-led coalition, parties and groups, but went to the battlefield and attained victory through reliance on God Almighty.”
His Eminence said that the change in the scene of developments is in the interests of the Islamic Resistance Front and is a stamp of rejection for Daesh’s caliphate project and the creation of greater security in the northern and central regions of Iraq, the removal of threats to Iran’s borders and unity among Sunnis and Shi’ahs and other groups in Iraq are among the other achievements of the liberation and victory in Mosul.
Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri added, “It’s ridiculous and laughable that some people say that the Americans were involved in the victory of the Iraqi people,” and said that during the 2016 US election campaign, President Donald Trump announced that the American government had created Daesh.
“So how are they going to fight against that which they created? Experience has shown us that wherever the US has appeared in their attempts to achieve victory in Iraq, nothing except malice, abuse, aggression and the fight against ethics has occurred,” he added.
He said, “How often will the American leaders threaten the Iranian people? They say that they want to eliminate the Islamic government in Iran and they have become delirious. We are shouting with a loud voice that the wishes of the US and the imperialist powers will be sent to the grave.”
Pointing to the state of affairs of the people and Muslims of Myanmar, Ayatollah Hoseyni-Bushehri said, “The Muslims of this country are immersed in fire and blood – where are the international gatherings to see that their houses are being set ablaze and the people are being burnt alive? Where are the human rights defenders? Our nation and our government, and all Muslims must cry out and support the oppressed Muslim people of Myanmar.”
