Rasa – One of the senior authorities in Najaf visited the families of the martyrs and wounded at Baghdad’s Shahid al-Sadr Hospital.

RNA – Grand Ayatollah Bashir al-Najafi, a revered Indian-born Iraqi source of emulation, visited several families of the members of the Popular Mobilization Forces, army and police forces who were martyred in the fight against the Takfiri Daesh terrorist organization.


His Eminence said, “With God is our victory, who has blessed his righteous slaves in the fight against the enemies of the religion [of Islam] and of our homeland,” and added, “With their great courage and their sacrifices, the martyrs of Iraq are the keys to the victory, dignity, honour and unity of this country and their names will be recorded in history.”


Ayatollah al-Najafi also visited the orphaned children of the martyrs and expressed sympathy with them. 


He also stated, “The mothers of the martyrs will have a lofty status near Lady Fatimah al-Zahra on the Day of Judgement because they sent their children to the battlefield to defend Imam al-Husayn and the purified imams.”


Ayatollah al-Najafi also visited the wounded laying in Baghdad’s Shahid al-Sadr Hospital and said, “The wounds of the wounded are the source of their dignity, munificence and intercession on the Day of Judgement because they were injured while defending the sacred places.”


Iraqi Prime Minister Haydar al-Abadi has formally declared victory of the country’s forces over the Daesh Takfiri terrorist group one day after the country’s military and Popular Mobilization Forces took full control of the northern city of Mosul.
