RNA – After their weekly meeting, the Association of Muslim Scholars in Lebanon, a group of Sunni and Shi’ah scholars, issued a statement on the latest developments in the region and the world.

The statement says that while Takfiri groups have arrived at a continuously desperate level and due to military pressure, they carry out suicide operations in many parts of the world from Iran, Afghanistan and Pakistan to yesterday’s criminal actions in London and today’s in Nigeria.

The Association of Muslim Scholars added that this is evidenced by the state of frustration among Takfiri groups and the despair of their supporters and founders to save them from this fate that they never expected they would face.

The real jihad is in Palestine

Referring to an attack on a Zionist policewoman in the occupied city of al-Quds [Jerusalem], the group of Sunni and Shi’ah scholars of Lebanon stated, “At the same time, the combative Palestinian youths are engaged in the real jihad in occupied Palestine and in al-Quds al-Sharif by carrying out martyrdom operations to send a message to the world that the qiblah must be directed towards Palestine because the real jihad in this land and martyrdom must be in the way of God. We congratulate the martyrs in al-Quds and invite the resistance groups to increase such operations.”

They also condemned Monday night’s terrorist attack against worshipers London’s Finsbury Park Mosque and called on the British government to prosecute and punish the perpetrators of this crime and to stop supporting terrorist groups in Syria and Iraq and providing a safe haven to them in the United Kingdom.

The CIA still has hopes for Daesh

The Association of Muslim Scholars also criticized the attacks by the United States on military bases in Syria and said that the downing of a Syrian Air Force fighter jet in Syria’s Takfiri terrorist-held northern province of Raqqah by the US-led coalition was an intervention in support of Daesh.

“The CIA seems to have hope for Daesh and some CIA agents are still on the ground in Syria and the US is trying to rescue its agents who are hiding among Daesh forces before the Syrian army and its allies capture them,” he said.

They praised the response by the political and security authorities of the Islamic Republic of Iran to the crimes carried out by the Takfiri groups and the rain of missiles against Daesh positions in Day al-Zawr and added that this issue indicates Iran’s power and real hostility to Takfiri and its discernment over the actions of the terrorists.
