RNA – In a meeting with a group of cultural activists from Iran’s northern Mazandaran province, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani said, “Cultural work is the most important part of a society and has a certain elegance.”

The revered source of emulation added that if human society is built on the basis of the culture of religion, piety and the teachings of Ahlul-Bayt, certainly it will become a prosperous society.

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani added that a country which is based on the culture of Islam and the Ahlul-Bayt and on the culture of jihad and martyrdom would never see humiliation.

“Based on this same type of culture, [the late founder of the Islamic Revolution] Imam Khomeyni, was able to guide the Revolution to victory,” he said.

He said that the existence of the rich culture of pure Islam and its promotion by Imam Khomeyni and the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei, is one of the reasons for the hostility of the enemies towards the Islamic Revolution.

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani added that the enemies are also striving their hardest to attack this culture in order to harm the roots of the Islamic Revolution and our religious beliefs.

Referring to the signing of UNESCO’s “Education 2030” document by the administration of President Hasan Rouhani said, “I have spoken many times in regard to this issue and have invited informed people to explain this issue. When someone reads one chapter of this document, it becomes very clear that who would be willing to accept this document? I don’t know why some critics of this documents are unaware!”

Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani continued, “I’m saying that this document is incompatible with our culture and religion and even our Iranianness. This influence is serious and the justifications that are given by such figures are not acceptable.

“I call on the new authorities to carefully review this document and for the Supreme Council of the Cultural Revolution and for the Commission for Education of the Parliament and for all representatives to review the document so that nothing is done which is incompatible with religion and the Islamic Revolution,” he said.
