RNA - "Under the current conditions and while the ISIL terrorists and the US are present in the region our country is considered a safe and sound garden as a result of the endeavors and sacrifices made by Iran’s security forces,” the Jewish MP said.

He reiterated that Iran is presently surrounded by turmoil, terrorism and hostility as the country's security forces are trying to do their best to maintain security in the country.

In relevant remarks on Friday, Iranian Intelligence Minister Seyed Mahmoud Alavi announced that the country's security forces have clamped down on 75 terrorist groups and teams over the past three years.

"A sum of 30 terrorist groups were destroyed by the security and intelligence forces last year and the remaining 45 terrorist cells were busted in previous two years," Alavi said.

He underlined that the Iranian security and intelligence forces don't allow the enemies and terrorists to challenge the country.

"A sum of 108 magnetic bombs and 15 suicide vests have been confiscated by Iran's intelligence forces," Alavi said.

The Iranian intelligence ministry underlined that the main goal of his ministry is to restore peace in all areas of the society, including education, culture, arts and economy.

Alavi had disclosed in February that the country's security forces identified and arrested eight main elements of a Takfiri terrorist group who were planning to carry out attacks across the country.

"Iranian security forces had managed to foil an organized plot by Takfiri groups to disrupt celebrations marking the 38th anniversary of the Islamic Revolution on February 10," Alavi said.

The intelligence minister reiterated that in the operation carried out on February 3-9, a secret network of terrorist elements was identified near Tehran and in some western and eastern provinces of the country and eight individuals of its key members were arrested.

"All those arrested were non-Iranian nationals and some of them were linked to a ringleader of a Takfiri group, who has recently been killed,” the minister added.

In relevant remarks in the same month, Attorney General Mohammad Jafar Montazeri disclosed that the country's security forces arrested several terrorists affiliated to the ISIL terrorist group near the capital city of Tehran.

'These individuals sought to carry out their plots during the ceremonies marking the 38th anniversary of the victory of 1979 in Tehran,” Montazeri said.

He reiterated that as per the intelligence obtained the ISIL terrorist group has had plans to conduct terrorist attacks inside Iran.
