RNA - "The level of the Islamic Republic of Iran's dignity is too high to be after the creation a Shiite crescent. Iran is not seeking to do so," Larijani said, addressing a ceremony in Tehran on Tuesday.

He expressed regret that certain Arab rulers and kings repeat such allegations against Iran, and stressed that his country is not after sectarian goals. "We respect all Muslims."

Larijani underscored that Iran is, rather, after peaceful coexistence and humanism.

His remarks came as Jordanian King Abdullah II and Saudi King Salman on different occasions alleged that Iran seeks to establish a Shiite crescent after controlling Baghdad.
