RNA - The terrorists sustained heavy losses in the Syrian army's attacks in Aleppo province.

 

The Syrian army also continued its advances in other key provinces across Syria.

 

Aleppo

 

The Syrian army troops continued to hit ISIL's positions in Eastern Aleppo and drove the terrorists out of another key region near the strategic airbase of al-Jarrah.

 

Syrian soldiers managed to take back the village of Baylan, 200 meters away from Jarrah airbase.

 

According to reports, the ISIL terrorists have heavily fortified Jarrah airbase as the government forces are preparing to storm the strategic base.

 

Reports also said that the ISIL militants have planted mines in lands near the airbase and have prepared a large number of their suicide cars.

 

After recapturing Jarrah airbase, Damascus forces plan to strike Southwards and liberate the Maskanah Plains, reaching the provincial border with Raqqa.

 

Damascus

 

The Syrian army forces expanded the scope of their advances in more areas in the Eastern Ghouta of Damascus, imposing control over several points in the town of Housh al-Zawahereh.

 

The army units started their offensive in Housh al-Zawahereh from three directions and won back control of three districts in the town after clashes with the terrorists.

 

Meantime, the army advanced in al-Zariqiyeh-Housh al-Salehiyeh front.

 

A field source said that the Syrian soldiers discovered several networks of terrorists' tunnels in the region, adding that the army will soon liberate Housh al-Zawahereh town.

 

Also, the Syrian army units advanced towards the town of al-Reihan after breaking the terrorists' defense lines and destroying their strongholds.

 

Homs

 

The Syrian army's special forces known as 'ISIL Hunters' are safeguarding the ancient city of Palmyra (Tadmur) and the nearby oilfields in Homs province.

 

The ISIL Hunters were tasked with the mission after the liberation of Palmyra in a bid to protect the city as well as its oil and gas fields against terrorists' attacks.

 

A commander of the ISIL Hunters underlined his forces' important mission in safeguarding Palmyra's oil resources, and vowed that his forces will prevent terrorists from entering the region and the energy fields.

 

Dara'a

 

The Syrian army repelled a major attack by the al-Nusra Front (also known as Fatah al-Sham Front or the Levant Liberation Board) on its positions in Dara'a province, inflicting casualties on the terrorists.

 

The Syrian soldiers repulsed the al-Nusra Front's offensive from Jeddiyeh village in Dara'a against one of the army bases in the region.

 

Meantime, the Syrian army units targeted a convoy of the terrorists moving from al-Lajah region in the Eastern parts of Dara'a province towards the Northeastern parts of Sweida province, killing all militants.

 

Also, the Syrian army forces launched an assault on terrorists' moves in al-Karak districts on the left side of the old customs office road in Dara'a, killing 8 militants and destroying their military equipment and vehicles.

 

Lattakia

 

Al-Nusra Front launched a fresh offensive against the Syrian army in Lattakia after suffering heavy defeats in Eastern Damascus and Northern Hama last month.

 

The Al-Nusra-led Tahrir al-Sham Hay'at (the Levant Liberation Board) announced that it has started military operations, codenamed 'Fa'ennakom Qaleboun', against the Syrian army in Lattakia province.

 

The announcement was made as the terrorists of al-Wosta battalion, Saheli 1 and 2 battalions and Faylaq al-Sham have launched missile and artillery attacks against the Syrian army positions in Jabal al-Akrad region in the Northern parts of Lattakia since Thursday morning.

 

Deir Ezzur

 

The Syrian army forces continued military operations to break the ISIL's siege on Deir Ezzur airbase, inflicting almost 50 losses on the terrorists.

 

The army units regained control of Hilal, Dasham and Milad hills in Deir Ezzur after heavy clashes with the terrorists.

 

They also targeted the ISIL's positions near al-Maqaber (cemetery) and al-Ma'amel (plants) regions as well as the water treatment station with artillery and missile fire.

 

The attacks left 48 militants dead and destroyed one of their tanks and 6 military vehicles.

 

Relevant reports said on Tuesday that at least 28 ISIL terrorists were killed and 22 others were injured in the Syrian army's artillery and missile attacks on the terrorist group's military positions in al-Maqaber, al-Jabilieh and al-Rashidiyeh regions and also the surrounding areas of Regiment 137 base and East of Deir Ezzur military airport and Deir Ezzur power station.

 

The Syrian army also destroyed an anti-tank missile base and a machinegun-equipped military vehicle of the ISIL terrorists.

 

Meantime, the Syrian air force raided the military positions and concentrations centers of the ISIL terrorists in the surrounding areas of al-Maqaber, Jonayd division region, Al-e Aloush and Tal-e Khanzir, al-Mohandesin, al-Mokabat and Electricity company, killing a number of ISIL terrorists.
