RNA – Speaking on Monday at the beginning of his first jurisprudence class of the new Iranian year, Grand Ayatollah Hoseyn Nouri-Hamadani congratulated the believers on the occasion of the arrival of the holy month of Rajab and said, “This blessed month is a prelude to the holy month of Ramadhan and the acts enjoined during this month are very important. We should take advantage of the opportunities of the holy months of Rajab and Ramadhan.”
The revered source of emulation referred to the current state of the Muslim world and said, “Unfortunately, by creating divisions and dissension and by creating false sects, such as Wahhabism, and promoting the Takfiri and Salafi ideologies, the enemies have struck a big blow against the Muslims.”
“Today, the respected seminarians and scholars and scientists of the Islamic world must end this problem by establishing unity and empathy and by responding to the questions and doubts posed by the enemies,” he added.
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani said that Sunnis and Shi’ah Muslims have a duty to introduce and to announce their disassociation from extremist groups. “Also, Muslims must know that the cause of all the current problems in the world are due to the imperialist powers, especially the United States,” he stressed.
The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom said we mustn’t be negligent of the number one enemy of Muslims – the US – and added, “By creating Takfiri groups, supporting their agents in the region and creating wars and bloodshed in Yemen and Bahrain, the US wants to secure the borders for the Zionist entity so that they can continue their aggression and oppression.”
He said that the first duty of Muslims is unity and recognizing the enemies. “Today, the US is the most hostile power towards Iran and for this reason, their primary attack is on Iran’s cultural, social, economic and political systems because Iran is at the forefront of the fight against the imperialist powers and is the factor in the unity of the Islamic Resistance forces in the region.”
Ayatollah Nouri-Hamadani noted that optimism toward the US is foolish and added, “In regard to the issues surrounding the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and the renewal of the sanctions against Iran, [the enemies] showed that they’re at the height of malice and don’t adhere to any contract or agreement.”
