RNA - "The religious violence triggered by insult and humiliation is the greatest danger threatening human communities," Younesi said today, addressing a ceremony in Tehran.

He further added that the human community is facing the worst forms of insecurity, violence and insult.

Younesi pointed to the Zoroastrians living in Iran, and said, "Iranian Zoroastrians throughout the history have spared no efforts to maintain the country’s festivities and help develop its culture."

Younesi also urged all religious scholars to prevent creation of religious violence.

In relevant remarks in early January, Iranian Parliament Speaker Ali Larijani underlined that followers of the divine religions are all treated in the same way as Islam is the religion of equality and brotherhood.

"The Iranian constitution does not differentiate between followers of different religions and considers all religions in an equal manner," Larijani said in a meeting with the parliament's Armenian, Assyrian and Christian lawmakers in Tehran.

The Iranian parliament speaker reiterated that the followers of different faiths are living peacefully beside each other.
