RNA – A delegation from Lebanon’s Association of Muslim Scholars headed by Sunni cleric, Shaykh Ahmad al-Zayn, has met with Hujjat al-Islam Muhammad Yazbek, the head of Hezbollah’s legal council.
After the meeting, the Association of Muslim Scholars released a statement in which they examined the latest developments in Lebanon and the region and they emphasized that the war against the Resistance Axis world has reached its final stages in most parts of the Muslim world.
The Association added that for this same reason, the enemies seek to distort the image of Islam and in this regard they are propagating a model and doctrines which have nothing to do with Islam.
“This model is based on the results of British colonialism which aims at presenting an ugly face of Islam and to expand sedition among its followers,” the statement said.
In their statement, the Association of Muslim Scholars said that the actions of the imperialist powers have been frustrated and they’re currently headed towards collapse and added, “Muslim scholars must remedy the negative results of this project by emphasizing that Daesh, the al-Nusrah Front and the Wahhabi school of thought have nothing to do with Islam.”
“Such groups are an attempt to blacken the face of authentic Muhammadan Islam which is a religion of moderation, compassion, familiarity, love and unity,” they added.
The group of Sunni and Shi’ah clerics in Lebanon stressed the Zionist regime is the main and true enemy of the Islamic nation and we don’t have any other enemies. Differences of opinion among the followers of different religions and sects are differences in jurisprudence and don’t lead to corruption in belief or exclusion from the religion but rather they are a part of the richness of Islamic jurisprudence and the principles of Islam.
The Association of Muslim Scholars stressed that the Islamic nation is one nation and anyone who attempts to create divisions on the basis of ethnicity, religion, sect, race or colour is outside the will of God and mustn’t considered as the representatives of the religion.
“Christians are our brothers in our homeland and no deviant ideology can create strife among us but we will work together to stand against the Zionists who strives to create dissension between us,” they stressed.
