RNA – Hujjat al-Islam Ali-Reza Panahian said that imposition of a war on a society is the result of one thing and that is the political weakness shown against the criminal powers of the world.

“If the freedom-seeking movements, nationalists and liberals didn’t dominate at the beginning of the Islamic Revolution, wars wouldn’t have been imposed on the Islamic Republic of Iran,” the renowned Iranian lecturer said, referring to the Iran-Iraq War.

Hujjat al-Islam Panahian stated that some peace-seeking politicians smell the scent of war and bloodshed and added that if the enemies didn’t see the weakness of some of our politicians in the negotiations and didn’t foresee the end of war, they wouldn’t have bombed one of our passenger planes or bombed our cities.

“If they didn’t see the weakness of our politicians during the sedition of 2009, they wouldn’t have imposed sanctions on us,” he added.

The teacher in the Islamic Seminary of Qom said that in a society which isn’t political, Lady Fatemah al-Zahra will be left alone. In such a society, political figures are spoken about and Imam Ali is openly defended in sermons but then he is left alone again.

He added that the people of Madinah had been deceived and not only didn’t they defend Imam Ali but they also feared him. “Whatever Lady Fatimah al-Zahra shouted ‘don’t be afraid of Ali ibn Abi Talib, he establishes justice among you,’ they ignored her and left her alone,” he stated.

Hujjat al-Islam Panahian stated that today our nation is afraid of a possible war and an attack by the new American president Donald Trump while if the United States had the ability to attack, they would have attacked Iran one-thousand times already.

“If you’re afraid of Trump, will peace be established or will you be led into a destructive war? With complete shame, some politicians are trying to scare people with war so that those people will vote for those candidates who are the most cowardly in the [upcoming] elections,” he said, referring to Iran’s upcoming May elections.

At the end of his speech, Hujjat al-Islam Panahian noted, “If we don’t speak about Lady Fatimah al-Zahra as a political hero in religious gatherings, we have betrayed her path. If we don’t speak of politics here in the Holy Shrine of Imam Ali ibn Musa al-Ridha, who was a martyr in the political field, we have betrayed him.”
