RNA – In an interview with Rasa News Agency, Ayatollah Mahmoud Rajabi, a member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom, referred to the approval of the Iran Sanctions Act (ISA) by the United States Senate and said that the extension of the sanctions for ten years is a violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA).

“We should review all aspects of this issue but the important thing is that our response must be decisive so that the enemies will regret continuing their actions,” he said.

The deputy of the Imam Khomeini Education and Research Institute said that the disloyalty of the Americans is famous and in regard to the JCPOA, they acted in such a way that even their officials and even members of their negotiating team considered the imposition of sanctions as a violation of the JCPOA.

“We have to declare that due to such moves by the US, the Islamic Republic has no obligations toward to the JCPOA and the US,” he stressed.

Ayatollah Rajabi explained that we must react to the US in an effective manner and added that while somethings are symbolic but if we want to react in proportion to the actions of the enemies who grossly violated the JCPOA, we must react in a decisive manner.

That which we say not to purchase American products is not an appropriate response and officials must review and must consider the current conditions and know that we have an enemy which is deep-rooted and has harmed us many times and now, with their new sanctions, they want to continue their disloyalty against us.

Ayatollah Rajabi said decisive action must be taken and the Americans must see and know that our nation will not bow to any imperialist power and stands firmly on its feet.

He added that in the face of the enemies, we must be serious about the “Resistance Economy” in order to solve Iran’s problems and invest in it rather than through rhetoric and speech.
