RNA – During his Friday prayer sermon to a large and fervent crowd of believers in Qom’s Qods Prayer Hall, Ayatollah Ali-Reza Arafi referring to Islamic Unity Week, which begins next week and said the Islamic world is facing conspiracies of the imperialist powers and the negligence of the scholars and elites is experiencing all this chaos.
“The Islamic world, with all its capital, power and abilities could easily solve the problem of Israel and open the great gates of progress,” he added.
The head of the Islamic Seminaries of Iran added that today the most important goal of the enemies is to contain the Islamic Revolution and in order to prevent the move toward a new Islamic civilization, they use various excuses to keep Muslims fighting each other. “This is a great danger we are facing and all must strive to solve this danger,” he said.
Ayatollah Arafi said that the sources of emulation and great scholars have issued important fatwas in regard to maintaining peaceful relations among Muslims and stressed that we must not insult others’ religious sanctities and added, “We expect Sunni clerics to stand against the Takfiri ideology and their evil attacks. Sunni elites and scholars must stand against these false ideas and all must know that due to the Takfiris’ extremism and mistakes in the Muslim world that Israel is safe.”
He added that the Americans and the enemies must know that despite all the problems we have, we rely on our divine values which are inspired by our religious scholars and added, “Through the inspiration of the Supreme Leader the enemies’ conspiracies will be defeated and in Mosul and Aleppo, the sedition will be defeated and the Islamic world will achieve unity and solidarity and through the grace of God, the imperialists will be buried.”
In another part of his sermon, the dean of al-Mustafa International University referred to the ten-year extension of the Iran Sanctions Act by the US Congress and said the speculation is that President Barack Obama will sign this bill into law during the last inauspicious days of his presidency.
Ayatollah Arafi said that the world recognizes that Ayatollah Khamenei’s words are decisive and serious and we consider the extension of these sanctions as a violation of the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) and as a sign of the disloyalty of the Americans in regard to an international agreement.
“The enemies have tried the patience of the Iranian government but they have seen the courage and determination of our nation,” he added.
The member of the Society of Seminary Teachers of Qom stated that we expect the negotiators and committees responsible for the JCPOA to analyze this issue carefully and added, “The officials shouldn’t be intimidated by the ignorant enemies and shouldn’t be afraid because the people are with them.”
