Suicide attack in Baghdad

RNA - The explosion happened in Iskan, a mostly Shi’ite district in the West of the Iraqi capital, when a group of pilgrims was gathered in preparation for Muharram in a tent, an Iraqi police source told journalists, Metro reported.

ISIL has stepped up bomb attacks in government-held areas this year as it loses territory to US-backed Iraqi forces and popular forces.

The terrorist group, however, still continues to control vast areas in Northern and Western Iraq, including the city of Mosul, captured in 2014.
