RNA - Speaking at a rally in Miami, Florida, on Friday, Trump described such claims as the “oldest play in the Democratic playbook.”

“When they’re in trouble they always pull out the racist word,” he said. “And they are in very big trouble, I have to tell you.”

“It’s the oldest play in the Democratic playbook. And Americans have had enough of it. We get it. We get it,” he added.

Trump made the remarks hours after he finally acknowledged that President Barack Obama was born in America, not in Kenya as he used to claim.

He, however, did not apologize to Obama for his leading role in the so-called birther movement, which was launched by Republicans to discredit the nation's first African-American president, and didn't explain what caused him to change his view.

Trump's campaign has been marked by controversial statements, including disparaging remarks about women, Mexican immigrants and Muslims.

He has also proposed a temporary ban on Muslim travelers and called for racial profiling of 3.3 million American Muslims.

In addition, the billionaire has said he would deport 11 million undocumented workers from the United States and would establish a “deportation force” for this purpose, and would construct a wall on the US-Mexican border to prevent Mexicans from entering America.

On Friday, Trump criticized the Democratic Party for labeling him and his supporters as Islamophobic.
