RNA – During a trip to Lebanon, the deputy of international affairs of the Islamic Seminary of Qom met with Hezbollah’s Secretary-General, Sayyid Hasan Nasrallah, in which the Lebanese cleric expressed his gratitude for the sources of emulations’ efforts and concerns regarding international affairs.

 

Hujjat al-Islam Zamani, the deputy of international affairs of the Islamic Seminary of Qom, discussed the present issues in the Islamic world with Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah.

 

The Lebanese cleric expressed his deep gratitude for the efforts done by all the sources of emulation in Iran regarding international issues.

 

He also appreciated their awareness on the global events which "is manifested through their vigilant positions, issuing statements and supporting the Islamic Resistance in Lebanon."

 

During the three-hour-long friendly meeting, both sides discussed cooperation on preventing the spread of the Takfiri ideology and also brought up the issue of proximity among Islamic sects as well as the possible ways for the Islamic nations to unite in their fight against such threats.

 

Elsewhere in their meeting, the clerics highlighted the necessity to introduce and promote the moderate and rational version of Islam to the world. Clearing up the Takfiri objections toward true Islam and its teachings was another topic in their meeting.

 

Both sides stressed on expanding the cooperation between the Islamic Seminary of Qom and Hezbollah in different areas including cultural, religious and revolutionary affairs.

 

It must be noted that during his trip to Lebanon, Hujjat al-Islam Zamani visited Ayatollah Abdul-Amir Qabalan, the vice-chairman of the Lebanese Shi’a Council. He also met with members of Central Council for Lebanese Muslim Scholars as well as the leadership council of the Islamic Action Front.
