RNA – Speaking at a meeting of 3,000 Basij officials in Tehran, Hujjat al-Islam Mohammad Mohammadian, the Supreme Leader’s representative in universities and institutions of higher education explained that in the current era, the formidable collection of Basiji students will undoubtedly continue to work to uphold the ideals of the Islamic Revolution.
He added that the founder of the Islamic Revolution, Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini was the spiritual father of the Basij militia, which began as initiative to revive the Islamic civilization. “We still need to continue the work of Imam Khomeini and be active,” he stressed.
Hujjat al-Islam Mohammadian said that Imam Khomeini introduced pure Muhammadan Islam which stands against what he called “American Islam.” In American Islam, belief in God and tyranny are compatible but in pure Muhammadan Islam, we consider those who engage in acts of tyranny as infidels before anything else.
The Iranian cleric stated that Imam Khomeini clearly introduced the reality of American Islam to the world and he also completely revealed the role of Wahhabism in the Middle East, adding that today, Wahhabi centres throughout the world have become the focus of sedition. “On one hand, they promote an Islam of self-righteous court mullahs and an Islam of humiliation, deceit and complicity and on the other hand, they rely on the imperialist United States,” he said.
His Eminence stated that in order to combat American Islam we must make the youth aware of and familiar with the conspiracies of the enemies and support of terrorists and warned against those who seek to use the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) to pave the way for reconciliation with the “people of sedition” or use it as a model to solve the rest of the problems that these superpowers imposed on Iran over the past 37 years.
