RNA – “Severing ties with divine verses brings breeds an identity crisis,” Ayatollah Mohsen Araki, the Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought said, adding, “What gives people identity and makes them wise is paying attention to the divine verses of the Holy Quran.”
 
Speaking at a conference at Qom’s Dar al-Shifa Seminary entitled: “Islamic Revolution, the Crystallization of Islam: In the View of Supreme Leader’s Letter to Western Youths,” the revered cleric explained, “We live in time of profound transformation, and undoubtedly society is on the verge of a profound and very deep change.”

 

“In this process of change, Western societies and in particular the young generation play a fundamental role,” he added.

 

Elsewhere in his remarks, Ayatollah Araki referred to the way the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution’s (Ayatollah Sayyed Ali Khamenei) letter has been presented to young people, saying the letter needs deep consideration.
 
“In his message, the Supreme Leader of the Islamic Republic of Iran tried to draw Western youths’ attention to the divine verses of the Holy Quran,” he said, hailing Ayatollah Khamenei’s newly-published letter to Western youth which has been widely circulated and published in the news and social media by academic elites, public, politicians and mainstream media across the world.
 
The Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought leveled criticism at Western lifestyle adding, “The Western lifestyle distances one from the divine.”
 
Ayatollah Araki questioned the silence over against the crimes perpetrated by US and the Zionist regime. The reason is the distance between the people and religious principles and teachings.
 
The Secretary-General of the World Forum for Proximity of the Islamic Schools of Thought said, “What gives people identity and makes them wise is paying attention to the divine verses of the Holy Quran and divine principles.”
